Terms
Customer terms for GoodState
Version 2026.10.05.1. These terms apply when GoodState presents this version for acceptance through checkout.
Viewing this page alone does not create an account, purchase or activate service. Any account or purchase remains subject to the eligibility, account, payment and service release checks described below.
GoodState is an administrative employer compliance service operated by BE Goods LLC. GoodState is not a government agency, law firm, payroll provider, or substitute for legal, tax, payroll, or human resources advice.
1. Launch service and eligibility
The planned launch program covers eligible employers with 1 to 20 employees in GoodState's selected 30-state program. A state is available only after its exact service package and applicable worksite locality are released and verified. Selection for the launch program does not mean service is open in that state. A ZIP code by itself does not establish eligibility. GoodState must verify the workplace street address and ZIP code against the applicable accepted package and locality evidence before checkout can proceed.
2. Launch plans
For an eligible launch workplace, the annual base service price is $299 for 1 to 10 employees and $599 for 11 to 20 employees. The 21 to 50 employee band is planned for Day 2 at $899 per year and remains unavailable at launch. The 51 to 90 employee band is $1,999 per year and requires review before service can be offered. Teams with 91 or more employees require a custom service discussion. A listed catalog value for an unavailable or review only band does not create a purchase right.
3. Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate, current business, workplace, roster, and new hire information and must have authority to provide it. You must review correction requests and other account actions that GoodState cannot safely complete without your input. You remain responsible for employer obligations outside the service that GoodState has expressly made available to your account.
4. Service workflow
For released service packages, GoodState may prepare required employee notice work, track delivery status, identify failed or incomplete delivery, request corrections, and maintain proof and account records showing completed and outstanding work. New-employee onboarding is a separate one-time service charged for each new employee and is not included in the annual base plan. GoodState will show the exact price before you decide whether to purchase onboarding. Physical workplace posters are a separately priced add-on and are not included in the base plan. They cannot be purchased until separately released. If released, GoodState will show the poster and shipping price before any separate purchase.
5. Payment, activation, cancellation, and refunds
Checkout opens only after GoodState verifies the required account, plan, terms, price, and workplace eligibility conditions. Service activation requires confirmed payment. Your account may show payment, cancellation, renewal, and refund status based on verified provider records. A cancellation or refund request is not complete merely because it was submitted. A payment or refund is treated as complete only after GoodState receives and reconciles the applicable provider confirmation.
6. Delivery and proof records
Delivery status and proof records describe the administrative events GoodState has recorded. They do not certify legal compliance, guarantee that an employee read a document, or guarantee completion of obligations outside the released service package. When delivery fails or information conflicts, GoodState may hold the affected work until the issue is corrected.
7. Support
General support is available through the support channel shown by GoodState. Do not send Social Security numbers, medical records, payroll files, payment card data, or other unnecessary sensitive employee information through ordinary support email.
8. Account security and access
You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. GoodState may refuse or hold an action when identity, tenant, payment, delivery, or service state cannot be verified safely.
9. Privacy
Use of GoodState is also subject to the GoodState Privacy Notice published at https://getgoodstate.com/privacy.
10. Acceptance and versioning
When checkout requires acceptance, GoodState records the exact terms version and content digest presented to the authenticated account. If the required terms cannot be verified exactly, checkout is refused. A later terms version applies to a later acceptance only when it is presented and accepted through the service.
